Apple Mac (OS X Tiger) WiFi Setup Guide

1. Turn on your AirPort card

Step 1 - Turn on AirPort

2. Click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner choose System Preferences

3. On the Show drop down box select Airport

4. Change the By default, join: drop down box to Preferred networks

5. Click the Add button

6. Add the Network name: Kongu_Wifi (lower case and make sure it is spelt correctly)

7. Choose the Security type: WPA-Enterprise

8. Type your User name

9. Type your password

Step 9 - Enter Password

10. Click Continue

Step 10 - Click Continue

Important Notes:

  • You must configure your computer to use the University web cache
  • Register your MAC address
  • If you have any problems connecting to the wireless network, please contact server room
